There
are two primary frequencies that are being utilized for the
unlicensed fixed wireless Internet access solution. They are
the 2.4Ghz and the 5.8Ghz frequency ranges. The 2.4Ghz is
currently the most utilized frequency for those providers
delivering fixed wireless as an Internet broadband solution.
Most of the radio or modem technology in the unlicensed frequencies
has been developed with the 2.4Ghz in mind. This frequency
allows for two types of signal designs to take advantage of
potential frequency interference. They are "frequency
hopping" and "direct sequence signal". This
allows providers multiple design opportunities to deliver
maximum signal strength matched with bandwidth demand. Unisyn
has focused on these design options in providing a superior
fixed wireless network development for its customers.
